Our purpose is to provide the use of our space that blesses others that have similar faith and values. It is important that our church presents a consistent message to our community.
ARTICLE I BASIC USE POLICY
A. Unity of the Valley Spiritual Center (Unity) facilities are to be used primarily for worship, education, and other events that relate to the church’s purpose and mission as defined by the Executive board. Such use takes precedence over all other activities.
B. Weddings, funerals/memorials, and special services of this nature will be approved and scheduled by the minister and administrative assistant.
C. Youth/children’s activities will require adult supervision.
D. Unity groups, organizations, and members have first priority for the use of the facilities. If a previously scheduled request conflicts with a Unity need, the outside organization will be moved to another location with at least one-week's notice.
E. Outside organizations may be given permission to use the Unity facilities by the church office for periods not previously reserved or conflicting with normal church activities. Such organizations must be related to the church’s purpose and be a non-profit organization.
F. All fundraising events held on church property must be approved by the Board of Trustees.
ARTICLE II PROVISIONS FOR USE OF THE CHURCH FACILITIES
A. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on or to be consumed on Unity property.No illicit drugs can be on or used on Unity of the Valley property.
B. No smoking is allowed in the church building
C. Building and grounds (landscaping, walls, floors, furniture, and equipment) shall be treated with care.
1. Safe and prescribed use of all mechanical and electrical.
2. Nothing will be hung on the walls without prior permission of the minister or administrative assistant. All signs, posters, etc. should be displayed on bulletin boards or easels, no pins, tacks, nails or tape of any kind may be used on the walls.
3. Any damage and all damages shall be the responsibility of the organization that has requested use of the facility. Repeated damages will result in the loss of facility use.
D. Any outside signs, posters, or banners on church land or buildings requires prior approval.
ARTICLE III CHURCH ORGANIZATIONS AND MEMBERS REGULATIONS
A. The Unity custodial staff will set up the Social Hall as requested by Unity organizations. If a change is needed, notify the church office immediately. All other rooms will be set up in a standard arrangement, any special arrangements/set-up of these rooms must be done by the group and all tables and chairs are to be returned as found.
B. Leave rooms tidy when finished; replace furniture to the standard mode unless otherwise instructed.
C. Check the following before departing:
v Windows are closed and locked
v Thermostats are off
v Lights are off
v Doors are locked
v Kitchen appliances are off and unplugged (coffee makers, etc)
v The last person to leave the building will secure all rooms
v Gate is locked
D. No furniture or equipment will be removed from the property without permission. All furniture and equipment will be signed in and out with specific time limits established.
E. Unity organizations will be asked to make a donation for use of Unity property as specified in Article VII.
ARTICLE IV KITCHEN USE
Users are expected to:
A. Furnish own food, coffee, paper goods, etc.
B. Clean up kitchen facilities after use, including washing, drying and putting away all items that have been used; sweeping and mopping floor as needed and taking out trash.
C. No leftover food is to be left in the refrigerator, freezer, or on the counter.
ARTICLE V OUTSIDE GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS REGULATIONS
A. Requests for building usage are to be made through the church office.
B. All organizations requesting building usage will provide information about the organization and all planned activities (i.e. flyers, brochures, website)
C. Each group using Unity facilities on an on-going basis will be reviewed annually. Renewal is automatic unless notified by either party.
D. The Unity custodial staff will set up the Social Hall as requested by the group or organization. If a change is needed, notify the church office immediately. All other rooms will be set up in a standard arrangement, any special arrangements/set-up of these rooms must be done by the group and all tables and chairs are to be returned as found.
E. Careful use of furniture, equipment, protection of walls and floors from undue wear and damage is respectfully requested.
F. All organizations will be responsible for safe and prescribed use of all mechanical and electrical equipment, including kitchen, heating, cooling, and other appliances. The building is to be secured and all lights turned off when leaving the building unoccupied.
G. No furniture or equipment will be removed from Unity property.
H. Leave rooms tidy when finished; replace all furniture to its original place unless otherwise instructed.
I. The following must be checked each before departure:

v Kitchen appliances are off and unplugged (coffee makers, etc) if applicable
v Gate is locked
J. Outside organizations will be asked to make a donation for use of Unity property as specified in Article VII.
K. Outside organizations must sign a statement relieving Unity of any responsibility for loss, damage, or personal injury during the course of the user’s activities and provide a certificate of insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 (One Million Dollars) naming Vacaville Unity Church of the Valley as additional insured.
L. All organizations granted permission for use of Unity land or parking lot will be responsible for reasonable care to protect shrubs, flowers, trees, and paving and to leave areas in a neat and orderly condition.
ARTICLE VI CHILD CARE
Children must be supervised at all times. Outside organizations are responsible for providing child care while using the facility if necessary. If additional space is required to accommodate child care contact the church office to make arrangements.
ARTICLE VII DONATIONS
A. All donations requested for use of Unity property including land, parking area, building, and equipment are levied for the sole purpose of covering utility costs, depreciation, liability insurance, custodial care, and security of the building and grounds.
B. Unity organizations will not be asked to make a donation for the use of the facilities.
C. Organizations that are sponsored by Unity will not be required to make a donation.
D. Donations will be based on the rates specified for use of the facilities.

Rental Agreement Fee Structure
*Sanctuary Members: $50 per hour (3 hour minimum)
Non-Members: $95.00 per hour (3 hour minimum)
Use of Sound Equipment and Sound Tech: $125 per 3 hour increments
*Kitchen Included with rental of Social Hall (warm-up and prep only)
*Social Hall Members: $50 per hour (3 hour minimum)
Non-Members: $95.00 per hour (3 hour minimum)
*Other rooms $15.00 per hour
*Sanctuary and/or Social Hall: Members: $200.00 (4 hours); $300.00 (full day)
Non-members $600.00 (4 hours); $600.00 (full day)

Unity Church has to option to charge for set up and clean up: $100.00
